If you're reading this message the MIDI system is not properly initialized. Probably you did not allow MIDI access, are not using Chrome or don't have the Jazz-plugin fallback installed (or you are on a mobile device) Please install the Jazz-plugin from here: jazz-soft.net Or enable plugin access and try a refresh.

You can play the MP3 into the RK-004's ACI port. Make sure the volume is 90 to 100%. If the update fails the RK-004 starts flickering. Reset the MP3 and try again, perhaps with adjusted volume.

Using the MID file, make sure your midi player adopts the tempo inside the file or add pause between sysex packages (e.g. sysex librarian)

RK-004 Advanced Port settings

As of firmware 1.6, the RK004 will recognise MIDI data coming in from TRS-A or TRS-B (minijack MIDI) so you don't need to worry about which dongle you are using on TRS-MIDI device. Since we can't sense wich device is on output there now is a 'Flipmode' setting for non-MIDI standard dongles.

To power the RK002, the RK004 port needs to be in 'MIDI Power out' mode.

NOTE: Be careful with the Direct-In settings This can hardwire MIDI data directly through to another port. If you use this on the port where you have connected this controller page to you will not be able to send messages in. RK-004 reset will necessary to regain control (press LED button +/- 3 secs).

Documentation

If you want to create your own controller you can read the RK-002 Sysex documentation

Since the webMIDI is still a but dodgy on different browsers we have also created a few sysex files with commands you would like to use on the RK-002, for example the 'set midi channel' command. This .zip file contains a series of sysex files you can play with e.g. MIDIOX (PC) or Sysex Librarian (Mac)

ACI Audio Fallback

You are running the settings page on a device which does not support webMIDI. The settings can still be made by connecting 3.5mm audio jack between the RK004 Sync-In-port and the audio out of your device. Set the volume to +/- 90% WARNING: datasounds are not suitable for your ears...)
